Default Rare small 7th Gurkha Rifles

I thought I'd share a recent acquisition - I've never seen one before and I know that the Gurkha museum do not have an example ( it's not illustrated in their book on the insignia of the 7GR ) - I believe it dates to the early 1900's and would have been worn on the OR's pillbox hat. It's not a collar badge ( uniquely the 7GR never wore collar badges ) - there's a similar badge in terms of design, size and period for the 2GR which is illustrated in the 2GR insignia book but listed as " unknown". I managed to acquire the 7GR badge in a trade with Ashok Nath who I believe has the only other example - both acquired from the Regimental tailor some 30 years ago.
