I doubt it is still there after all this time but it would be nice to think it might be.

My highlight of the year was acquiring from an old collection a selection of Nova Scotia circa 1865 shako plate and belt plates to the Nova Scotia Militia. Lovely stuff.

This is my best find of the year. A very nice selection of hard to find Malaysian Armoured Corps badges.
And the best part for me was that I won it on ebay for only £29! Score of the year! Mick

Well I bought this today for £8.
The slider is a replacement but this is an OTC badge that has eluded me for years. Now just hoping that the militant posties don't lose it! |

I've had a pretty quiet year but did manage to add a scroll that has been on my long-term collecting list thanks to Donovan.
A beautiful WW2 French made 1st Ranger Battalion scroll. Paul |

KEH tunic
For me it was a 1913 dated tunic as part of the Full Dress uniform named to an Australian Officer with the King Edward's Horse.
Every time I enter a name into their Nominal Roll I think of how the Colonies responded to the call for the King and Empire. Lest we forget, cheers Dean

Isn't that a standard cavalry pattern stable belt?

you are right, I had forgotten the exact terminology. I was wondering why the K.E.H. would wear that particular pattern of stable belt, I hadn't thought of them as Lancers. |
