Default 22nd Dragoons new purchase

As these are heavily faked I would appreciate opinions,in the double picture the badge on the left with slider marked J.R.GAUNT LONDON has been shown on this forum and received a thumbs up the one on the right is the new arrival and to me looks identical .Thanks Roger

The one I have is slidered and not lugged (which may be a repair.... but the ones on yours have the 'feet').
Yours has the voided numerals - which is a good sign. The only odd thing is that the back of your badge looks
a little strange but that may just be the photograph.

Good afternoon Roger,

What I can say about the badge on the right, with lugs, is that it is 100% from a Gaunt die. However, I do agree with David, Wright241, that the back doesn't look odd - a poor strike?, and the lugs do have feet. Perhaps this may be one of the 22nd Dragoons white metal badges that was re-struck in the early 1970's.

All good wishes,

Peter
