Somewhere I vaguely remember these having been approved for wear by a TA RLC Sqn. If the PM has his way these will probably be part of the Scottish Army in a couple of years.
My only concern is that someone is knocking out dud ano collars. I too bought a pair of 201 Bty, RA ano collars with clutch pin fitings. (but not marked TKS etc). The Bty told me subsequently that they still use split pin fittings! Stephen. |

Clutch pin fittings have only been universally introduced in the last few years with FAD, (Future Army Dress - the new No2 Dress).

Thank you. Unfortunately my enquiry with 201 Bty was made in October 2011 and they were adament that the clutch pins weren't used by them.

Stephen,
They may not now but when they get their FAD they will. The manufacturer has jumped the gun on producing them with clutch pins for commercial sale. Last edited by Alan O; 12-01-12 at 12:29 PM. |

After checking the stores catalogue, the NSN relates to 239(Highland Yeomanry) “C” Squadron, Queens Own Yeomanry. It also states that they have clutch pins fitted.

I think your collar badges were also worn 1992-1999 when "C" Squadron (Cupar) The Scottish Yeomanry was named for the Fife and Forfar Yeomanry and Scottish Horse and was formed by the re-roling of 239 (Highland Yeomanry) Squadron, 153 (Highland) Regiment Royal Corps of Transport. By the way, the cap badge to the regiment was the bi-metal cap badge (http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...ictureid=49019) for ORs and the bullion one for officers.

Just as an aside, I have some Lancastrian Volunteers officers silver gilt and enamel collars with clutch pin fastenings ( acquired from the officer who wore them ). The unit ceased to exist 1975.
I wonder if anyone has earlier examples of British Army badges with clutch pin fastenings ? P.B.
