Smile 47th Company, 13th Battalion DCO, IY

Hi all,

Below a recently acquired broached gilding metal badge to the 47th Company, 13th Battalion Duke of Cambride's Own Imperial Yeomanry or Lord Doughmore's company and also known as Millionaire's Own with many stockbrokers and solicitors recruited from SW London - formed 1900 and majority captured in May 1900 at Lindley in Boer War.

The clasp to the broach is broken off but I have the piece and will have it repaired. Looks genuine. 51x37mm. Nice looking Boer War period badge to a topical unit, cheers Dean.
