"signals" badge in gold cotton thread on a large patch of fairly lightweight khaki cloth. Any idea`s?

Sorry I don't have the answer, however there is a thread on this badge in the New Zealand section. Its by Quicksilver and is dated 29.5.19 and titled "Trade Patch RNZAF Wireless Technician WW2".

Have a look and see how you go.

Hi Mac, wireless operator. My Mum wore a similar one on her uniform serving in the WAAF during WW2. Hers was dark blue cloth with RAF blue lightening and fist. Hope this helps. Neil

There are a lot of variations plus use by foreign goverments.

Obviously consult the bible and the Military Heradry Society also did an article on theese some years ago.
