Default Wings - but not as you know them

I bought a large bundle of cloth pieces off of evilbay recently just to get one RM badge.
Now looking to clear the rest out and will probably stick them back on where they come from as I have no idea of values (not a lot for most/all of them I think) and they can find their own value

If members don't mind me asking, I would love to know what the items in the attached pictures are. Some have labels (in English) dating to 1950s/60s and describing them as wings.

My only thought was perhaps worn on ceremonial uniforms around the shoulder area?

If anyone can enlighten me it would be appreciated
Ray

Thanks Alan - you were quicker than a quickfit fitter there.
Presumably the variations were different regimental bands. Am I right in them being on the shoulder?

I seem to remember that they were unofficially known as Swallow's Nests.

Is the way the way they should be worn John?
They sometimes appear in images being worn on the wrong shoulders, sometimes by men within the same group.

Not wishing to appear pedantic but also worn by Corps of Drums along with the Band.

Simon.

Ray,
This extract from Material Regulation Volume 3 Pamphlet 8 1971 amended 1973 may help with identification.

Thanks for that Tim.
The labels that are there predates this regs issue but I am guessing the colours mentioned would still apply. Not sure about the red & white ‘fancy’ one. Can’t find that in there.

I would add that the red & white one features what appears to be Kings Crowns, so that one might be earlier than the labelled ones?

I think that those with the crowns are worn by Guardsmen.

They are supposed to be worn with the bars on a forward angle.

CB
PS, also by pipe bands.

Thanks, I couldn't remember which way around they were worn (I have 3 or 4 pairs of the things, all 1950's dated, dark blue with white lace).
