Default Unknown Medical Uniform

The Caduceus on the collar would seem to suggest a medical uniform but other than that I am stumped - although it doesn't look British.

Suggestions please.

Jon

The tie and collar would suggest a civilian. Ships doctor?

German Kriegsmarine Administration branch

Note: This Caduceus is always confused with a medical caduceus badge

The buttons are not Kriegsmarine.

Collars are German and Administrative branch, so could be earlier or one of the Ocean Liners. Definitely not medical.

The buttons are high concave.
This means they are not German, nor ocean liner of any country.

The Staff of Hermes appears on a lot of buttons related to trading: customs, schools, companies.
In France high concave buttons were common.
We really need a good scan of the buttons.

If the buttons bear entwined block "CS" I'd suggest Czechoslovakian Customs.
