Dorset and W. Somerset Yeomanry
Hello quite new to this. Iwas looking at a/a badges for the Q.O Dorset and W.Somerset Yeomanry. I found a few Firmin marked but quite a few more with no name on slider can youi tell me are these badges okay or iffy please.

Thank you David, It was the difference in price between unmarked and marked sliders that made me wonder.

Iain a number of badges with unmarked sliders were commissioned in the !980's by a well known person Many of these have been subjected to posts on the forum As stated as far as I am ware this is not one of them

On the subject of Queens Own Dorset when looking at the metal Queens crown badges there are a lot of Gaunt B'Ham as well as blank sliders, one i looked at mentioned Gaylor thought this may never have been in use by the rgt. but whilst looking i came across this picture showing the badge as well as collars.

When worn in the beret,the badge has a grass green backing patch.

I am not convinced that the badge has not been added to the hat after the regt was amalgmated.

Sorry Iain,I meant the backing was worn with the Dorset and West Somerset Yeomanry badge.
