Default Stowe School Officers a/a cap badge

Hi Gents,
Here's an unusual badge not mentioned in Hagwalthers excellent book. It's a gold & silver a/a badge to Officers of Stowe School.
Regards
Colin

Rare badge mate. The usual silver ones come with east/west and north/south lug configurations for some reason.

Hi Mike,
I have no idea I'm afraid. The C.C.F are a little bit of a law unto them selves when it comes to badges.

Ever since I've had any dealings with them, the Officers of Stowe School CCF wear the cap badge of the Rifles

Thanks Paul.
Similar to the 1st Cadet Btn KRRC badge which is worn by cadets at Westminster school but the Officer wears Rifles badges.
He also wears a 1st Cadet Btn crossbelt not a Rifles one.

Hi Gents,
The Late Keith Rawlings book states Stowe School badges exist in -

1. brass 2.bronze 3.plastic 4. a/a silver 5. gold & silver.

He does not state what metal the gold & silver badge is, perhaps he never had one in his collection?

Of course we know that this badge has been more recently struck in chrome, making 6 types of badges to be found.

There is of course the possibility that K&K were wrong and that the gold & silver badge was for Cadets and not officers at all?

Any way it appears at some stage a gold & silver badge was struck at some stage for Stowe School.
Regards
Colin
