Default WW1 Brass K.S.L.I. Badge

Hello
There is a badge on a auction site EBAY 362994550004
I was not aware the Shropshire L.I., used or even produced an econmy badge
for the Great War, can anyone confirm if they did, all the years I have been collecting never seen one ?

I have encountered a few over recent years and they have all been of equally recent manufacture, I would have thought that no examples were ever made for the regiment.

It’s not a 1916 all GM issue but it is in my firm belief a genuine period badge.

See this thread https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ght=Shropshire

Note the badge on eBay also has both scars where loops were originally fitted (E-W) and a nice tapering slider.

I’ve increased the brightness from the eBay listing as it was very dull. It appears to be a very nice GM colour.
