Default 1 CACR "new" repros jewellry

Have a look, a "new" batch of repros of the badge for the 1 CACR. These should not fool anyone.
Note: The vendor is selling these as jewellry, and not attempting to misrepresent the badges as authentic/genuine.

Default What the...?

That's just strange and funny in a way. I like that sincere caveat, "not made of real gold".

They look cast from a repro badge, can't make out the backs clearly from the picture, but they look indistinct (so not stamped both sides.

Why on earth would anyone make these? Seems an odd choice for jewllery?
I think I will bid on these, though I have no need for 25, just to get a sample...

How much do you want to bet someone will find these (if Bill doesn't buy them), and lo and behold, a nos Kangaroo badge will show up in some vendor's box or auction?
And if there are 25 of these now, how many more are sitting in the stock room?

Default Tip of the iceberg...

Bill, you are most correct. It is highly unlikely these 25 are the only ones. I wonder what other badges they are going to (or have already) made knock-offs of?? I think it is strange that if these were truly made as jewelery, that they don't have a pin/broach type of fastners? They appear to have lugs...

For you and Michael (and anyone else interested), I'll bid on the lot and if I win it, I'll mail you an example (I really don't need 25 of these).

Default missed it...

Sorry, my auction software didn't catch this one and I missed bidding. Went to someone else... cheap. I wonder where they'll end up now? Something to watch out for.

maybe you could email the seller and ask if they have another batch?!... if they dont have them to hand, they could probably make some!

Default The origin I think...

Bill, I think these copies started with Dave Demorrow (Alleramilitaria), see his post over at MLU last fall:
http://www.mapleleafup.org/forums/sh...ad.php?t=11958

The items for sale on eBay that started this thread looked like they were coming from a wholesaler of some sort, perhaps surplus items from the manufacturer??
