Default Australian Police Senior Officer or ....

Help or opinions please

The badge below was sent to me as an older Queensland Police Senior Officers hat badge.
The current badge worn by Queensland Police senior officers has the letters QP under the crown, can anyone confirm this please? or is it an Army WO2RQMS?

Anyone knowledgeable in this area please?

Found a page show Queensland Police Commissioners which shows the same style QP badge (KC and QC) being worn from 1917 to present.
