Default Duke of Willingtons Officers badge?

Hi folks

Continuing to weed the collection of 'not rights' as we say in Manchester (usually referring to people not from Manchester lol)

Here is what appears to be a very nice DWR officers silver and gilt cap badge, but when I checked the back expecting lugs I found a slider with the stamp JR Guant London, for a moment I thought of the Birmingham Mint but of course the DWR were a regiment that survived the amalgamations so was not part of that set.

Any ideas?
Cheers
Sean

Default DWR cap badge with Gaunt London slider

No problem with the badge at all.

I was an officer in the 1st Bn, the Duke of Wellington's Regiment in the early 1990s and was issued with a Dukes silver-plate and gilt cap badge with Gaunt London slider from the QM stores.
