Can anyone help identify what this is please, grandfather served with Cheshire regiment & RDC in World War 1 then Home Guard in WW2. Not sure there is any connection with his service.

Thanks

Hi
There shouldn't be any connection as this is post 1953 as it has a queens crown, the badge is a rank badge for warrant officer 2nd class (WO2) and different appointments at that rank were RQMS, SQMS ......dependant on what regiment you were in. The leather wrist band is for wear in shirt sleeve order. Hope this helps I know lots of members will add much more detail but hopefully it's a start.
Regards
Sean

I agree totally with Sapper. A post 1953 Warrent Officer 2 wrist band with rank. As he states, worn in shirt sleeve order.
