Default Royal Marines Light Infantry, South Africa.

RMLI beret badge on a 3-piece felt rosette, the white felt beneath the actual badge is a light blue, outer area sun faded white; looks as if original colours were all over light blue, white then red. Seperate photo showing these.
The badge is a regulation cap insignia with the twin lugs, signs of polish residue at the back. No chance of being a sweetheart broach.

Source - a backstreet store in Johannesburg, RSA. About 20 years ago.
Q. First/Second South African War? Did the rosette represent Battalion or what?
