Cool 1RDM

I see there is a 1RDM bugle amongst this lot, should set alarm bells ringing!

I’ve done a lot of house clearances and this is fairly common. People genuinely do not know what they’ve got, good or bad!

I do not believe the seller means any intention of selling fake badges as authentic.

It’s a game ... look after yourself!

It's a game to those who knowingly sell fake and "repro' stuff whilst representing it to be genuine or who misidentify items in order to increase their price.
I prefer to think of it as what it is - a crime.

The whole sales pitch is put together to commit a crime !
It is impossible for these to have come from a house clearance !
There are new fake badges so tales does not add up.

Default Fakes amongst originals

Apart from the previously mentioned 1 RDM there is also a white metal King Edwards Horse cap badge, as Laurie Archer said when he put together the chapter on fakes in K&K, a badge that never existed in white metal, once I see one of these amongst a lot of badges I immediately am on my guard.
