Default NORFOLK YEOMANRY?

Any ideas as to why the crowns were removed from this pair?

Kind regards, Malcolm.

Possibilities include:
a) someone was repairing other badges and canabalised parts
b) someone wanted to use them as ADC badges, but I cannot see this having been done by an officer wanting to appear at Court like this!
