Default MMG Corps fake?

I have a few Machine Gun Corps badges that I'm happy with but this Motor Machine Gun Corps badge I feel is fake. The detail I think is very good obverse and reverse but the finish and colour looks odd. The slide is short but has been bent at the. Opinions please?

Many thanks

Martyn

Martyn .... I have just purchased a (Firmin) 17/21 motto that has a slider that looks the same as the MGC.... take a close look at it, is it made up of two sheets of brass laminated together? It also has that same bulge at the top of the slider... as if they were from the same collection? I purchased my motto from Calgary, AB, in Canada.

Many thanks

That's interesting. The one on my MMGC looks as though it's a single piece of brass but the shape is similar. It's the finish on my MMGC that I'm not keen on although the detail is very good.

Martyn.

I dont collect the MGC..... there are some on here that do.... I think Julian (KLR) is an MGC collector and a good authority on the subject.
