Default Nurse dog tags

Hi,

I recently acquired some items which generally relates to South African Military Nursing service and SA RED Cross, so Iím assuming the owner was a nurse. Within the items are some dog tags with the personís name and military number and a bracelet with the same name but a different number. What I would like to know is what the METH on the dog tags mean and the Cofe on the bracelet, I have attached photos.

thanks
Jacques

C of E would be Church of England as a Religious denomination, not sure on the other though.

Simon.

I am thinking the CofE stands for "Church of England".

Nursing tags of Nursing Assistant (VAD) E. Kent. The silver oval bracelet shows her service number and religion (Church of England) during WWII.

Post war nurse Kent joined the SADF permanent force and the second round disc shows her new PF force number and change in religion to Methodist.

She retired in the 1960's and was awarded 3 medals (the War Medal, Africa Service Medal and PF 18 year long service medal). She only served in South Africa and was not one of the nurses that went overseas.
