Default Can you reorder photos?

Hi All,

The title says it all. I've created a couple of albums and wanted to put the photos in specific orders but when I've loaded 5 at a time they didn't go on the way I expected.

Is there a way to move the photos round within an album?

Thanks,

Michael

No.

You have to take them down and put them back one at a time in reverse order.
The first image you load will be the last image on the last page of how many pages you have.

Thanks Marc, I guess they'll be staying as they are then.

Intermittently, this has been an ongoing subject of enquiry here on the forum over the years.

It can be inexorably irksome in the extreme repositioning photos, especially for those albums containing a high number of images, and one aspect of the forum that I have hoped might one day be (for want of a better word) resolved. Until then it is as Marc says: upload in reverse order, with no drag 'n' drop, unfortunately.

That said, there is no denying that the forum's album facility is a superb resource, and an invaluable and impressive archive, the like of which I would say exists nowhere else.

Michael, (and all members),

While frustrating, the order of photos within an album is of less importance providing that (as you have done with your Legion Album) every image has a proper description.

The search engine in Picture Gallery is not perfect but it can narrow the field if photos are well captioned.

DSCN1234 etc (more than 2600 images currently) and IMG 1234 etc (more than 3000 images) are not very helpful when searching!

That's also very true, the pictures are an excellent resource if there's some good explanations and descriptions with them, they have helped learners like me a lot.

Agreed, and a super suggestion/request years ago by Simon ‘Longshanks’ was that we might perhaps all include a K&K reference when uploading images. Not always doable, but a very useful means by which to narrow down searches where and when possible.

That would only work if you had a copy of K&K, which I don't or if there was a list of numbers somewhere that people like me could refer to.

Even putting the regiment / corps in the description would be a help.
