Recent ebay purchase of items belonging to Capt Michie RIASC , The seller added the wooden sign from his office door in Japan.
Has anyone ever seen a reference for Indian pagri flashes? I have only identified a handfull. Regards Kevin |

Angle Iron
The flashes were quite common on solar topis in India between the wars, both British regiments and the British officers in Indian regiments and appear in photos from the '20s & '30s. I'm not aware of any central listing, though there may be one out there somewhere. |

The noted military author John Mollo wrote a four part illustrated account of Indian Army pagri flashes 1922-1945 for the Military Heraldry Society which was published in four issues of their journal The Formation Sign between July 2001 and July 2002. It was fully illustrated in colour.
Back copies can be bought by Society members. To see how to join go to http://militaryheraldrysociety.com/ Jon |
