Button :- Loyal Leicester Volunteers (Help?)
Hi All
This one is aimed at the "Button Boffs" on the forum:- I have attached an out of focus "front & back" of a button for the "Loyal Leicester Volunteers" 1803-08. Does a Button Boff have this illustrated and described in a reference book?

Thanks Rob
I thought , for a moment, that it might have been the "Loyal Leicester Volunteer Cavalry"..... but its not Loyal Leicester Volunteers:- The first corps was raised in 1794 and titled 'Royal Leicester', a 2/3 Company unit commanded by Major John Mansfield. stood down in 1801 the few Volunteer units were converted to Local Militia in 1808/09. Re-raised in September 1803 and shown as '(Leicester (Loyal)', 480 strong of eight companies. Lt Col Commandant John Mansfield, Lt-Col Joseph Farmer.
