Here is Taff Gillingham's photo.

I would like to know more about how the Volunteers were badged in South Africa. Previously I had guessed that after renumbering as newly enlisted regulars, they were also rebadged as regulars. I am unsure if it helps much but here is a photo by Gregory Ebbs from the facebook group The British Army & Navy, 1888-1914. Is shows a sun hat with a Norfolk badge worn in South Africa by Pte Arthur Meek (unknown number, F Coy, 1 Vol Bn, and 5429, 1 Volunteer Service Company).
