Hallmarked silver 1st., 2nd., 3rd. & 4th. Aberdeenshire R V glengarry badges.
Good afternoon.
Because it's almost Christmas, and because I am feeling uncharacteristically patient, kind and generous, here is a Seasonal quiz question. Does anybody have a set of the above? And, does anybody have evidence of a corresponding example to the 5th. Aberdeenshire Rifle Volunteers? You'll like this: but possibly not a lot. Enjoy. S.T. (PS. Well, apart that is from the odd petulant individual: you know who you are.) |

It would be nice to see them.

Would I be wide of the mark in suggesting that the 5th never existed or is Grierson wrong ?

As I am now starting to have sleepless nights over the answer to this quiz, I wonder if it is now possible for us to be put out of our misery ?

Good evening.
Well, over 200 views and none but Mr B vouching an opinion. I was sure the great and the good would all be rushing in to illustrate versions of the missing badge. Bother. Now, if you all play nicely, and Mr Rude manages to keep himself in check, I might have a hunt among the fluff in the bottom of my coat pocket and see if I can come up with a little sparkly something. Watch this space. Enjoy. S.T. |
