Default ME Commando cap badge

Just recently I have been going through some items that were in a box which I hadn't opened for some time and found the attached ME Commando cap badges. I am definitely not an expert on these but wondered if any of the three are original.

Any of those on the forum who have knowledge of these can help me? It may be that in fact all three are copies. They have been picked up over the years and none of them have any provenance.

Also attached are a pair of gilt wings and a Pontefract Volunteers button which I know nothing about. I know its in the wrong part of the forum but you never know.

One of the ME commando badges has a lug broken off which I have shown next to it.

Cheers

Arnhem

I agree with arrestingu
There is quite a lot of rubbish spouted about ME Cdo badges, and variations do exist.
However, to be safe and sound the tell tale signs are as illustrated in the attached with lugs set into the cast.
Definitely avoid the lugs with 'nail head' type grooves in the shank, or those lugs with feet.
All the best
Mike

From the front-on view the top and middle badge are fake, the lower badge looks original but closer inspection required...

Just for clarification - in the image of the backs it is the top which looks possibly good
