Default PAY PAL SCAM WARNING [AGAIN]

Hi I received an email this morning, allegedly from pay pal warning me about a third party trying to accesss my account. The only third party trying to get access to my account is these thieving Barst---s themselves.
Don`t get conned by these sods. Cheers Andy.

Good Idea to warn people! This happens quite frequently, they usually have a form asking for your email address and pass word or bank account details and PIN.

As you say thieving Bast***ds but then again I'd hope the people on this forum are not dumb enough to give out their passwords or PINs If they are then they deserve to get fleeced for being so thick! this is hardly a sophisticated scam!

Cheers and stay safe Tony

What pisses me off with all of this is the authorities/ politicians/ solicitors et al are always keen to remind us that our Internet activity can be traced right back to our front door should they choose to do it - should you (for example) be slagging off some celebrity or company on your social network website or blog.

Now here is a real crime, attempted theft - and what's done? nothing at all. same style emails next month from the same criminals.

OK so they're from Nigeria, Somalia or some other place - but is it really beyond the realms of human ability to stop this?

What we should do is print off the email and its header contents and take it to our local police station and report it as the crime it is. Then contact your MP to follow up what the police are doing to prevent it happening again.

ok rant over.

"and I'd have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those pesky kids"

..at which point a cartoon Great Dane puts his paw to his snout and sniggers.

But seriously.. I get three, four, five of these a week*. Two weeks ago, a very convincing one got through the spam filter asking me to confirm a deal on a very expensive television - I was fuming until reason kicked in and I sent it straight to their fraud address - who confirmed in under 10 minutes that it was rogue.

* Excluding the dire warnings of malevolent access to accounts with banks I have no dealings with.

I get several nasty, threatening type letters a month, I've learned to ignore them but my Bank manager still sends them.......

[ ..at which point a cartoon Great Dane puts his paw to his snout and sniggers. ] another icon needed to go with my wish for the ' green faced ' icon ???
