Glamorgan Imperial Yeomanry
Can anyone please confirm that K.C. Glamorgan Imperial Yeomanry buttons were officially worn until 1908 when the regiment was renamed Glamorgan Yeomanry?
These particular buttons have Hamburger & Co. London back marks. Last edited by High Wood; 17-11-19 at 12:56 PM. |

I am pretty sure that I already know the answer but as Howard Ripley doesn't illustrate the post-Imperial Glamorgan Yeomanry button in his Buttons of the British Army 1855-1970, I thought it best to ask someone more knowledgeable than myself.

That same button (Bronzed version date from 1904) is in Bryn Owen's book.

See attached thumb nail from Ripley & Darmanin's Yeomanry Buttons MHS Special 2005.

Thank you both for the confirmation. My buttons are actually W/M but are very dirty.
