1902-36 Black Watch
Officers glengarry badge, a very fine 8 piece badge with silver plated back star and scrolls, a gilt overlay mounted with a silver St. Andrew.
To the reverse a white metal oval brazed into the star to seal the back. Two screw posts with 8BA threads fitted. Scrolls fixed by copper wires overlay held by brass cotter pin, 23 separate components. |

I think that these are all lovely. Not my area of knowledge at all but looking at the Sphinx tablets; they appear to be non-existent or blank. Is this normal?

There is something that is really pleasing about this Regiment's badges, love the dirk belt plate as well. Really strange about the lack of battle honour. I thought it may have been linked to a territorial association but in this case I guess not.
Many thanks, Rachael

A high quality officers silver plate and gilt glengarry by Gaunt with their nameplate to the reverse. I would say this was mid 1930s, all parts die-struck with the motto fully readable from the back. Gilt has migrated onto the plate.
