Default Ebay Buttons

Hate to disappoint any button collectors but I thought I should bring a couple of buttons on ebay to your attention:

Coldstream Guard Button
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Waterloo-B...item25784aa588

40th Foot Button
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Waterloo-B...item2578514a25

Both these items were made for reenactment groups by myself, so definately would have a hard job being original. Plus I can do them for 70p each saving a couple of hundred quid.

Hi Andrew.

As a matter of interest, have you contacted the seller and informed him of the correct source?

It would be interesting to hear what he says.

Regards
Brian

I guess they did not get 200 years of patina by themselves since neibelungen made them.
Thank you for your post.

They have pretty impressive write ups so if what you say is true then a deliberate fake/con intended to deceive

Definitely designed to deceive the general public.

I'm waiting on reverse images just to confirm, but expect my maker's label will have been sanded off or erased.

I like the Certificate of Authenticity.
Can I have mine printed out on toilet paper because at least it will have one genuine use.
