Middlesex Regiment I believe. They provided the MG Bn of at least four British Inf Divs that fought in Normandy.

It was found on the east end of Mesnil-Patry (close of Putot-en-Bessin) ouest of Caen.
It's not exactly the places where 49th fought but it's not far away.
