all correct. The Glosters die flaw is well known. The East Yorks also has a very chunky rose.

The snall die flaw on the Glosters is well known. The rest of the badge is from a worn die as well.


RWK is indeed Bh'am mint badge with the silver finish and silver slider.

West Yorks is modern a yellow metal and not well made. However there are lots of very yellow genuine badges out there.

East Yorks has the chunky rose seen on copies and the modern slider.

Norfolks is very shiny and not well struck with a suspect slider. A bit of artificial ageing and this type could easily deceive.

15/19th Husars - very well made but the lugs are suspect to me. I don't like lugs for that era of badge and they appear to be footed. I could well be wrong but am erring on the side of caution.

Northants - vastly reproduced but the slider is the giveaway. You can see from my genuine WW2 one how difficult it is the tell the copy from the original from the front.

RE - could be original except for the slider and braise - I could be over cautious here but it just shows what a minefield single metal badges are when they are restuck from what looks to be original dies.
