Default EviiiR The Life Guards

Indeed a fake CB, sadly.

The genuine EviiiR The Life Guards badge as a dot at 6 o’clock in the circlet not a laurel spray.

There is a (short) passage on badges of Ed 8th - go and look up the archival data !!!! in TNA and NAM.

Not just look up bits of metal !!!

Thanks but both are rather a long way for a (short) passage.

Notwithstanding what I’ve said above is correct.

As the hobby de facto is the collection of bits of metal then given the choice I would rather specialise in the hardware itself.

Merry Christmas.

From my Foot Guards Rank Badge Collection.

Colour Badge of the Grenadier Guards with the Royal Cypher of Edward the Eighth. Manufactured but probably never worn. Never seen another.
(For information the Cypher of Edward the 7th is significantly different).

regards

All lovely and all very scarce badges. The Grenadier Guards Colour badge must be insanely rare, well done Simon.

I wonder if anyone on the forum has the fabled EviiiR Royal Military Police?

I do have these RASC. Not too rare, but still looking for the collars.

Not military but here is one that must be very rare, if not unique, a South African EviiiR customs cap badge. The only one I have seen.
Cheers,
Alex

Apologies that its not a great photo, its scanned from a 40yr old picture. This was the E VIII R Military Police cap badge from my late father's collection - given to him by the Veteran who had it issued to him.

Sadly I don't own the badge anymore, I truly wish I did, but I do know who does, though it would be wrong of me to name him without his permission.
