The w/m Queens is a lovely badge. From the slider style and length I am assuming a TF w/m walking out badge 1908-14.

What an absolute travesty Peter - after all the years taken to put a collection together, it wouls appear acceptable to be sold off complete with no effort or thrill of the chase - not what a collector dedicated to researching and hunting would expect ... a sad indication of where we are at ...

The odd bargain is still out there. Went through two boxes of badges for sale this week. Virtually 100 per cent restrikes however picked out two. All badges were £5 each. Found in the box a Glasgow 1914 hallmarked silver BW badge and a T/10/Manchester shoulder title which I knocked him down to £3. Thought the silver badge must be a fake so had it checked out by a silver dealer. Definitely silver and hallmarks correct, ?

Alan, thank you for your kind comments. Truth is, I sold the badge at what I thought was a fair price (and it gave me a profit). I list quite a few badges for sale on here, some sell, others don't. Those that don't sell will end up on Ebay where they frequently sell for more than I've offered them for on this forum. Most of the profits that I make are ploughed back into my own collecting and it ends up that my collecting costs me very little.

I bought mine for £30 which I thought was a fair price. £70 is the usual exploitative dealers which you are not one of them as their badges don't sell.

Hi all
I read a lot of people on here vilifying ebay.
I love ebay.
Picked this up last week. $20 buy it now.
It’s probably a $500+ badge.
Couldn’t be happier.
Oh and btw, any spare items I get are offered here first. For me it’s not about making money on a badge (although that’s nice) it’s about the chase. Once I have it, it’s then about knowing someone else wants it and I can help them out.
