Question regarding webbing and rank insignia
Hello everyone,
I was wondering if South African soldiers in North Africa (1941-1942) used both the P37 webbing and the webbing shown in the picture below (not sure of the exact name), or if they used just the P37 webbing. Most pictures I see of South African soldiers with the webbing from the picture were taken when they were on parade. If I'm not mistaken, they did use that particular webbing in the East African campaign. Onto the next question, did South African soldiers wear their rank insignias only on the right sleeve, or both? |
