Hi!

Have several Para items for which I'm seeking your opinions on authenticity. I also have some which may amuse you.

First up is a cap badge which I liberated from a local antique store. It looks real to my eyes, but, what do I know?

Next is a shoulder insignia pair. Having searched around for some idea as to how to determine what's real and what isn't (including the link below), I've concluded that wiser opinions are needed.

Next we have Airborne Wings, which I'm guessing are authentic, but, modern. Is there any way to tie down the era?

Last one for this group is a Parachute Regiment crest which I understand is intended to be attached to private vehicle bumpers or grills? Any other uses?

Those which might amuse...

First up is a collar badge pair (sorry, Canadian and off topic). However, you'll notice that the hands are turned the wrong way around (compared to everything else I've seen).

Next are a couple Pegasus patches which to my eye must certainly be reproductions. Can someone please confirm?

Among the first lot the peggies look good, nothing else does of all the rest. The Cloth wings are original but modern ish

I like the description "Dragon Rider"!, Have to give credit for creativity though - perhaps that is worn by fantasy paratroopers!!!

I don't like the para badge, it appears to have the extended wingtips seen on many fakes/copies. You I am sure know that they version king's crown on a slider was a post war issue, there are genuine post war examples but I don't think they have the extended wingtip.

Thanks for clarifying Jerry. Actually, I didn't know about the extended wings and as it didn't cost much, no great loss.
