RAChD formation badge
Hi all,
I understand that the formation sign below to be of the Scottish District, Highland Division but I am unsure of the actual period it was worn with this Chaplains shoulder title. Any guidance appreciated, cheers Dean. |

The sign is that of West Scotland District (in WW2) which had by the early 1950s been retitled Lowland District, Scottish Command. Given the presence of an associated printed title and the RAChD AoS strip I would say that this is a Wartime combination. Mike

Printed titles were introduced in March 1943 and widely worn by that October. Arm of service strips were abolished in March 1946 so your nice combination must have been worn between those dates.

Have swapped it for a badge I wanted for the family regiment's collection - thanks to all for PMs and offers, cheers Dean.
