Unknown cloth insignia
Hi All,
This cloth insignia was part of a collection from a veteran of the Burma campaign in WW2. I cannot trace its origins anywhere. Does anyone know what it is? Many thanks in advance. |

Unknown Cloth Insignia
I have seen a version of this before, but cannot recall its identification. Quite possibly some very obscure Indian Line of Communication Area (or Sub-Area). I'll keep looking. Mike

Seen in John Waring's collection and listed by him as Unidentified (JW2.B93). Described as "Yellow green leaves with black base on green square. Embroidered on linen".

Thanks for your help Mike. It is quite a mystery indeed. The only other information I can give is that the soldier was part of an Indian unit in late 1943, I am not sure which as yet. The badge has four press-studs on the reverse.
