Album
OK fellows, I've tried starting an album, tell me what's wrong. The pictures seem to be small ,hard to read ,not clear etc. As you can see it is labeled properly(Amateurs album) so it's not that. Ray

Hi Ray, If you go into the album and click on the images in the album they open up in a larger format. As Tony says, they look fine.

Hi Ray, if you can crop out some of the border, and the images on your computer are larger than 700 pixels, then the subject (the badges) will appear larger in the cropped album picture.
if you don't have anything on your computer for image editing this may work: http://pixer.us/ browse to the image on your computer, upload, click the crop button, draw out a square that fits tight around the badges, click apply, then save it somewhere on your computer. (then upload into the forum album. ) so you have the pic as on the right. (I lose the quality by lifting it from the forum but using your originals it shoud be ok)

Hi Ray,
Mike's hit the nail on the head, so to speak, you should have an editing feature in your camera software that allows you to alter your image several ways, from inserting text, to cropping the image, to altering the quality of the resolutions etc. Have a look and good luck.......... Dave. |

Mike can you check the 2/10 Dragoons in my album & tell me if this is OK. I did it with paint program. If that's right I'm a computer whiz. Ray

Don't want to appear to be teaching anyone on how to suck eggs etc but I have always found that the best way - and its how I take all my album pics - is small camera table stand (or a tripod) - plastic and usually available from any good photographic shop (a proper one....) - and some form of delayed shutter action + natural light OR a 'natural light lamp'. Works a treat. Software such as PSP is far better for 'doctoring' pics after. However, if its blurred to start with, its virtually impossible to improve. Garbage in, garbage out etc. If you want more details pm me. You might find that if you take close-up images of each of the badges + button - of the set you refer to, and then combine them into one picture. The button would (naturally) be sharper. Good luck, david |
