Default Wrong Description

A RARE GRENADIER GUARDS OFFICERS CROSS BELT BADGE
A GOOD VICTORIAN EXAMPLE OF THE GRENADIER GUARDS OFFICERS CROSS BELT BADGE THIS HAS 3 SCREW POST TO THE REAR WITH SQUARE NUTS TO THEM IT'S A CAST EXAMPLE IN GOOD CONDITION
Code: 14875 £250.00 GBP

This badge is not as it is advertised. I have been in touch with the owner ( ASR142 ) several times, but he has chose to ignore me. The badge is in fact a Sabretache badge, of the Grenadier Guards. I believe listings should be as correct as possible. The badge itself is very nice as is most of the other items are.

Strictly speaking it is his other half who runs BADGES whilst Steve runs AT WAR, or so I understand it.

Steve is a good guy and I am sure any issue with the other site will be resolved.

I do not know how long this has been unresolved, but I would guess that action will be taken as appropriate after due consideration of the matter.

It was in June when i first queried this, i was told he would get in touch with me. I believe i gave my phone number to him, but still nothing. Like i said before most of his badge's are very good.

ASR142 has seen this thread/post. If he is not willing to reply to this I believe the Forum should make him removed the photo/picture of this item. As the Forum now Knows that it is not what ASR142 believes it to be.
This would not be a reasonably request. IMO

Really? It isn't our place to rally the villagers with torches and pitchforks demanding that somebody make a change to his own website.
When you have a specialized interest, the best thing you can do sometimes is play your cards close to your chest. That way if a deal pops up, you might spot it first.

Andy,

It is not down to the forum to do this IMO.

Phil, your happy then that someone lists something that is wrong even after letting them know what the item actually is. On numerous occasions.

Andy,
have you PMed Steve?

I'm sure it is just an error, he's not like some other dealers, and as the others point out, there's a reasonable way to resolve the issue!

Trust Me!

I've been there in the past!

As a Forum i believe it is up to us to let others know when something is not quite what it is. Like for instance letting people know about Fakes. Or do we just sit back and do nothing. Very strange, and unprofessional IMO.

We're badge collectors, not "professional" anythings.
You've passed on your information. Leave it at that.
As a collector, if a dealer misidentifies soemthing I can use that to my advantage. Depending on my relationship with the dealer, I may or may not notify them of their error.
By making a public issue out of this, you may piss off the dealer in question and when they list that badge you really want, they might refuse to sell it to you.
