LOL Mike,
My next question was going to be along the lines of was it expensive, but, if you don't know who it was, I'll assume a casualty and a Canadian one!

Sorry Frank......

But it was a gift from the family..... They gave me the Medal and a voided badge many years ago.....

But seeing them in catalogues, that is casualties I expect it would bring a good price......

Hello Mike,
I think that the badges are actually quite scarce things these days, I have always liked the large white metal slouch hat badges, big, bold and in your face, you can really see BP's influence.
I like the little cap badges, rather harder to find though.
Regards Frank

Here you go Frank

Here is a photo of some badges that I found last year......

There was a small package of items that included a BWM to a Major J.R. Biscoe, a 76th Officers Collar Badge, Silver War Badge and a For Service at the Front badge to the Canadian Patriotic Fund......

And last but not least a pair of Binoculars with Broad Arrow and the date 1900.....

They all came from the same family......

Biscoe served in the 2nd QOR, SAC and from his records Johannesburg Police then CEF......
