Plated officers badges, with both Gaunt and P mark. All the P or S marked badges I have owned have been plated officers examples

A cruelly edited photograph, can we see the rest of the badge in all it's glory, Jerry?

Julian,
In an effort to aid with the apparent trend to once again blur the issue here I have checked my collection and those that I have marked S are earlier silver Gaunt manufactured examples, the P marked examples are later plated examples, in line with the advice given in your post and not both plated. This is the only Gaunt marked with the P as well but I have a few others just with the P, all being officers plated badges, either Silver or Silver & Gilt.

Very nice Jerry, I've always liked the SWB, as a regiment and in particular, their badges.
