34th Cumberland Regt Victorian Glengarry Badge Restrike or Original?
Hi everyone.
Was wondering what members view's might be on this V/C 34th badge as to it possibly being an older restrike or not? Had it for many years and as I am thinning things out of my collection I want to accurately describe and sell it as a restrike if it is one. Very nice detail striking to the Battle Honors, Victorian Crown etc. - it is a die struck and not cast. Thin metal not thick & it's a dull yellow brass and not shiny or bright. If a restrike any value to them at all - if original are they fairly common? Thanks .. Bruce |

Genuine ones are not common at all - unless you live near Glamorgan in South Wales. That comment applies to all the Pre-T Glengarry's as well.

34th Cumberland Regt Victorian Glengarry Badge Restrike or Original?
Thanks everyone for the information on the badge which certainly answers the question for me as to it being a restrike and not an original.
Funny after hanging onto it for many years I never had a clue nor really knew much about it. Much appreciated - Bruce |
