Default A new badge related project of mine

Gents,

I'm starting a new medium/long term project (with hopefully a couple of other people) that will hopefully end up as a book or series of books.

I will attempt to document the badges, patches, insignia, uniforms and also a brief history of each Royal Australian Armoured Corps, Australian Armoured Corps (World War 2) and Australian Light Horse regiment.

A big task you may ask? It's bloody huge!

So if anyone can assist me with pictures and information, I would be most grateful.

I'm especially looking for pictures of Light Horse badges (especially the rarer early ones and officer badges) and pictures of Light Horse uniforms from all periods.

This is an area of Australian military history that isn't that well documented and I will attempt to remedy this situation.

If you have any questions about this, please ask.

Mick

Hi Mick

What a great project and I'd be happy to help where l can.

I have a small collection of light horse badges, probably the most interesting is the 7th L H 1900 to 1914 period badge, send me an email address and I will photo it and send it on to you.

I also have a small collection of Vic pre fed items that l would be happy to share.

Regards

Phil.
