It is a poorly struck cast copy which is almost true to the original badges but has a spurious Makers Mark, the applied tank is seriously second class, it would more likely have been fitted with blades had it been genuine and the overlay is absolutely FANTASY!

If you go ahead and buy it then you are "Mad"!

Andy

I told you all of the above in post #4, but despite that you still wanted to buy it

Ask yourself a technical question:

Manufacturers make appliques separately in huge series and then solder them to other objects.
Does it make sense that an applique is cast together with such an object?
They would have to make a separate die, just for the back.

Manufacturers are in business to make money.
And so are fakers, casting badges using the lost-wax method.

They've used an original badge to make the mould which has the maker Mark cast in, it is not a separate tablet soldered on and is the same place on the originals.

Default Badge fake or real?

This is what has been described as a genuine cap badge- unless anyone has a different opinion

Do you really need to post this twice?

A fake as has already been said in the other thread, they never made this version.

Don't be afraid to say what you really think, Andy!

I agree, mind you - fantasy fake - but I'd not go as far as 'mad'.

Andy,
I think it is worse than that? I have yet to see a genuine TC badge either OR's or officers, with the "Ring Spanner" track tensioners? Also the style of makers plate is one that appears on fakes! Just look at the awful detail to the crown ..

This is "Son of Fake"... a second generation repro.. The numpty that put this piece of garbage together, could not even be bothered to get an original badge to copy!

A BIG FAT FAKE!

Andy

Ah! Now I get it. You think, possibly and on balalnce, given the preponderance of evidence that there is a statistically significant chance that this may not be 100% genuine.

Sorry, was training to be a politician before I had the conscience implant done.
