Rifle Association shooting badges
SHOOTING BADGES 1.JPG
This is a very interesting field and many variations of these badges exist. There are only three variations listed in Owen's book. |

Hi Will
I have to agree that these badges are very nice, and that's a great collection of them. Do you know where they would have been used or worn? Cheers, Alex |

Hi Mike,
Thank you. Unfortunately not, this "branch" of my collection started due to my interest in the S.A. Sharpshooters who were from both Rhodesia and South Africa. Their commander, Lt Methven M.C., was a Rhodesian and I am fortunate to have two medal groups out of the 16 awarded to the unit in my collection. The 16 sharpshooters have been accreditted with killing more than 3000 Germans on the Western Front and acted as snipers and scouts. Regards, Will |
