From the picture on the cover of your book it looks like it is worth keeping and doing a bit more research on.

Had held off posting this. Here is an example I have. As you can see with "serifs". Oh how I want this to be WW2. However after reading this thread should I assume post WW2 Phantom Signal? Printed sign.
