South African Irish Regiment Brooches ?
Picked up these over the years. All but the bottom right badge came from South Africa (this one came from Canada) and are marked "silver". They all have the same motto "Faugh A Ballagh", and as you can see there are two different types of harps. The top left badge looks to be correct for the South African Irish Regiment. But the others the harp is not correct for this regiment. The harp and motto are correct for the Irish Fusiliers Of Canada, and Royal Irish Fusiliers, but not the crown. Perhaps patriotic badges or aimed at more than one regiment ?

I think that the fact you state that they came from South Africa does speak volumes, but, these are not cap badges as worn by the regiment, as brooches, they are merely representations of the badges that were actually worn by the regiment.
