Lagos Police cigarette ‘silk’ - British & Commonwealth Military Badge Forum

This nice “Godfrey Phillips/BDV Cigarettes” silk arrived today, showing a badge for the Lagos Police in West Africa. As I lent my book on Colonial badges and haven’t yet got it back

I’m unsure whether this represents a ‘real’ badge or a crest/letterhead, but it still an attractive addition to my multi-media collection of worldwide police items.

The badge illustrated , less scroll,accords with that at Serial 259 , and more closely with Serial 400 in British Colonial Badges.

Thank you, I should get my copy back soon - in fairness the borrower did return it to me but I forgot to take it from his car when he dropped me off.
