Record price. Wonder if it will set a trend?

At those prices, definitely food for thought for the 3 types I have as well.... Once I have found them of course.

Sure, great price if you are selling but not so much if you are still collecting. I'm sure this was just an anomaly.

Now don't all go selling them all at once. If you flood the market it could affect the price and bring it down!

Note that this was a bidding war between two individuals. The bids jumped from $270 to over $1,000 as each played 'chicken' with the other. Let's hope their wives never find out.

I won this one two weeks ago from the same seller, less than half the price (apologies, don't have a photo of the reverse handy but it is a high definition impression as opposed to the one that just sold). The two bidders that went nuts for this latest badge did not even bid on the one I won...?

Well Whizzbang,

I think you need to find out who the second highest bidder was on the latest auction and sell yours to him for a ‘reduced price’.

I have my share of theses badges as well and I must say, I would be willing to sell for that price! I would like to know what these buyers would be willing to pay for a Bakelite or Officer’s cap badge!
